Half-Life

The gold-standard reference anabolic compound. Long-ester testosterone providing stable blood levels with weekly or bi-weekly injections. Used as the base of virtually all cycles.

Mechanism of Action

Binds androgen receptors (AR) directly and via 5α-reduction to DHT. Aromatizes to estradiol via CYP19A1. Increases IGF-1 production, nitrogen retention, and satellite cell activity.

Research Studies

The effects of supraphysiologic doses of testosterone on muscle size and strength in normal men

Bhasin S, et al. · 1996

PubMed

Landmark RCT: 600 mg/wk testosterone enanthate for 10 weeks produced 6.1 kg lean mass gain and 33% strength increase in the squat vs. placebo — establishing clear dose-response for muscle growth.

Dose-response relationships between testosterone concentrations and body composition, strength, and sexual functions in healthy older men

Bhasin S, et al. · 2001

PubMed

Graded testosterone doses (25–600 mg/wk) showed dose-dependent increases in lean body mass and strength; fat-free mass gains were significant at all doses above 125 mg/wk.

Testosterone dose-dependently increases maximal voluntary strength and leg power, but does not affect fatigability or specific tension

Storer TW, et al. · 2003

PubMed

Dose-dependent strength increases: 600 mg/wk testosterone improved leg press performance significantly more than lower doses, confirming pharmacodynamic relationship.
